MRD tracking in blood using a de novo sequencing from SPEP gel of M-protein in Multiple Myeloma Patients

This study aimed to support the specificity of M-inSight by combining it with gel electrophoresis (SPEP) for M-protein sequencing. Researchers analyzed serum samples from MM patients, comparing M-protein sequences obtained from gel and direct serum analysis. Both methods yielded high-quality sequences with identical clonotypic peptides. M-inSight effectively monitored disease progression and detected low M-protein levels. These findings demonstrate the robustness of M-inSight and the potential of gel-based preparation for M-protein sequencing.
